Teapot Dome scandal

The Teapot Dome scandal was the worst Harding scandal. In 1921 and 1922, Harding's secretary of the interior Albert B. Fall secretley gave oil- drilling righte on government oil fields in Elk Hills, California and Teapot Dome, Wyoming to two private oil companies. As a consequence, Fall recieved more than $300,000 in illegal payments and gifts camouflaged as loans.
