A Sweatshop

In the year 1893, a historical event took place. Through the help of Florence Kelley and the Jane Addam's Hull House, Illinois passed a law prohibiting child labor, limiting work hours for women, and regulating sweatshop conditions. The laws helped millions of Americans have better working conditions for the next few hundrend years and are still in place today.
